Joe Androvich joined Poswall White & Brelsford after having served six years as a defense lawyer in the Sacramento area. Joe has successfully represented clients at Trial and licensing hearings. He has participated in a number of civil jury Trials in Sacramento, Yuba, Sutter, and El Dorado counties. He is intimately familiar with all aspects of litigation leading up to and including Trial.
Joe’s family has been in the Sacramento area for four generations. His father is a retired owner of a local business, Brownie’s Blueprint Company, and his mother was one of the first Pediatric Nurse Practitioners in the Sacramento Area. He attended Jesuit High School in Sacramento, where he was a member of the 1999 National Champion Rugby Team, as well as the National Champion runner-up team in 2000.
After Jesuit, Joe went to the University of California Berkeley to pursue his academic and athletic endeavors. At Cal, Joe obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Legal Studies, with a minor in Art History, graduating with the highest honors (top 10% of his class). He was also a Varsity Letterman on Cal’s National Champion Rugby Team, and was a member of the teams that won the Collegiate National Championship in 2001 and 2002.
After graduating from Cal, Joe obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco. During law school, Joe began refereeing rugby in Northern California and throughout the United States. He earned the awards of California’s Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Referee in Northern California, and was promoted to the USA Rugby National Panel (Focus Group). While a member of the Focus Group, Joe traveled throughout the United States refereeing the highest level of domestic rugby. Since the birth of his son, Joe has retired from national/competitive refereeing, but is still active as a referee of local high school and collegiate matches.
As part of his commitment to the community, Joe is the President of the WarmLine Family Resource Center, a local non-profit providing resources and support to families of children with special needs birth to age 22 in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, Nevada, and Alpine Counties.
